Ir. Kuang had joined T.Y.Lin International Sdn. Bhd, Malaysia as a Civil and Structural Engineer since May, 1995 and has more than 10 years of experience in the civil and structural engineering consultancy business. During this period, he was involved in a premier hospital project, as well as other high-rise commercial and residential buildings in Malaysia.

               

Ir. Kuang’s expertise (both analysis and design) is in structures which encompasses post-tensioned prestressed concrete, reinforced-concrete and steel structures. He gained invaluable experience in designing high-rise & “Super” high-rise (>50 storey) concrete buildings and personally carried out periodic supervisions to ensure the site works were executed in accordance with the design intend and drawings.

 

From December 1998 to October 2000, he worked as a Research Officer and pursued his Master degree under Building & Construction Authority (BCA) funding program in Singapore. While doing his research there, he established his expertise and specialized knowledge in concrete structure, especially in the behavior of concrete flat slab by carrying out field experiments and testing.
